Peacefully, on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Kawartha Lakes Extendicare in Lindsay, at age 81. Marg (nee Roberts), beloved wife of the late Ken Shier of Cannington. Loving mother of Kelly and her husband Neil Brogan of Ajax, and Tracy and her husband Rick Flindall of Little Britain. Loved nana of Ryan Brogan and his wife Tonnia of Whitby, Michael Brogan and Katherine Cummings of Whitby, Kailey and her husband Jeremy Graham of Little Britain, and Kristopher Flindall and Ronda Williams of Sunderland. Great nana of Lucas, Leah, Nash, and baby Graham. Predeceased by her sister Mary Roberts. The family of Margaret Shier will receive friends at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672) on Friday,July 7th from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate her life will be held from Trinity United Church in Cannington on Saturday, July 8th at 2 p.m. Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cannington. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Sick Kids Foundation, Brock Food Bank or the Parkinson Society. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.thornefuneralhome.ca
