We are truly heartbroken for the loss of your sweet boy. Brock was such a funny little guy, that immediately fit right in with our family here in Newfoundland. We made such great memories the summer he visited, and he became a great friend to Devon. When Jack, Brock & Dev were together they were like three peas in a pod! We were driving to the campsite one day & their giggles in the back seat were a sure sign that they were up to pure boyish badness, it made Jules & I crack up listening to them. The day that they had the poker game in the camper should have been broadcast on TV, it was the funniest thing we ever watched, we had tears of laughter listening to them. Just so sweet.
Dev loved to visit Sunderland and hang out with the boys, especially Brock, they were buddies.
He will be missed by his Newfoundland family and we are sending you all so much love & support. We love, and will miss you Brock.

Brock was smart, athletic and kind but most of all he had a great sense of humour. One day he showed up to gym class in a sweater. About ten minutes into a basketball game he looked at me out of breath, sweat pouring and said with a straight face “I think maybe the red hoodie was the wrong way to go”.
I burst out laughing and replied, “Ya hard to say”. I am very glad I got to teach Brock and get to know him better. He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace bud.

I do not know you or your family and you do not know me. However, I read about this online in a note from my cousins Walter and his family. I just wanted to say that it hit my heart. My son, Paul was injured and broke in neck when he was just 18 and became a quadraplegic. He sounded like your son in that he was loved by everyone. Brock seems to be cut out of the same fabric. My son passed away in 2017 when he was in his 50's. I know from experience that nothing people say will take away the grief you are going through right now. It sometimes seems that it is not true and will never end. There is only time that will ease your pain. It is the hardest thing in life to have to bear.
From what I have read you have a very loving family and many kind and wonderful, caring neighbors. Eventually the grief and pain will subside to the point that you can function again. Let the outpouring of love from all you friends and family help you. Sorry if I am rambling but my heart goes out to you and all your family.
