What an interesting and fulfilling life Al lead. He was exceptionally bright with a booming voice,infectious laugh and was a great champion for the 'little guy'. Al was so well read that it was impossible to win a debate with him but it was always fun trying. Cannington and all of Brock Twp. will miss it's 'Burgomaster'. Many of us were fortunate to experience Allan as an educator. His classes were lively, stimulating and interactive. He fostered a genuine interest and critical analysis of current events. He encouraged student participation in the "model Parliament". He was our chaperon for my first inter continental travel. I will always remember Allan introducing me to Stephen Lewis. So much inspiration; so many good memories.
